EMPLOYMENT AT ROCHE HARBOR

Why Roche Harbor?

Roche Harbor, a historical village on San Juan Island, is the premier boating destination in the Pacific Northwest! Located on the Northwestern tip of San Juan Island, off the coast Washington State, we are also the first port of entry into the United States from Canada. Roche Harbor is the busiest private boat port in the United States. Registered as a National Historic Site, Roche Harbor's grand Hotel de Haro was built in 1886. The area was originally established as a limestone mining company, and at one time, Roche Harbor Lime & Cement Company was the largest limeworks operation west of the Mississippi River. In 2006, Roche Harbor celebrated fifty years as a Resort and Marina. Accommodations include historic rooms and suites in the Hotel de Haro, McMillin Suites on the hill top, private vacation cottages near the Tarte Pool Center, and modern waterfront condominiums. New lodging accommodations in 2005 included 12 new luxurious Carriage Houses / Cottages on the Green. Additionally, 12 new luxury hotel suites and our new 2,200 square foot Afterglow Spa will open summer 2007. All of this surrounds our beautiful formal gardens, unique shops, and country grocery store. Our waterfront restaurants offer everything from casual dining in the Lime Kiln Cafe and Madrona Bar & Grill to elegant cuisine in our formal McMillin's Dining Room. Activities include tennis courts, an outdoor, heated swimming pool, sea kayaking, whale watch guided tours, as well as hiking on our quarry trails or bicycling throughout the scenic San Juan Islands - one of the most scenic and favored vacation areas in the Pacific Northwest. We also offer guests permanent and overnight moorage in our 377 slip marina with ample room for large vessels up to 140 feet, and every night a traditional "Colors" ceremony is performed in the marina at sunset.
