Quiet Season
(October thru mid May)

 

 

Enjoy a quiet getaway during our Quiet Season. Some guests insist this is the best time of year in the San Juans. Crowds have thinned, and most days are clear and crisp ...the perfect time to sit in front of a fire and relax with a good book, or enjoy our average 247 days of sunshine (and half the rainfall of Seattle) by bicycling, hiking to the Mausoleum or Sculpture Park, or walking the many trails around Roche Harbor.

Summer Season

(Mid-May thru September)

The islands are alive with activity during this time of the year, and the Orca whales return for all to see! The weather is typically mild and dry. The formal gardens are bursting with color and fragrance. The pools and tennis courts are open. Choose an adventure leaving right from our docks ...maybe a kayak trip or whale watching. Dinner in McMillin's Dining Room will round out your day, and if you time it just right, you can view the harbor and enjoy our famous tradition of the "Colors" ceremony as the sun is setting.
