Reception Spaces

For more than a hundred years Roche Harbor has hosted splendid soirees. We've borrowed a page or two from John S. McMillin's extravaganzas to inspire us when designing receptions and dinners. In McMillin's footsteps, we've sought out his favorite spaces around the harbor for you to entertain your guests.

 

The Pavilion (30-150 people)

One hundred years ago, the pavilion served as the sought-after venue for McMillin's closest friends to host their wedding receptions. The attendees over the years evolved into quite the who's who from the Seattle area.

These days we draw from the spirit of those celebrations for our guests' wedding receptions. The pavilion and courtyard below, which overlook the boat-filled harbor and the islands beyond, blend indoor and outdoor environments to offer people several good-feeling spaces.

The courtyard traditionally hosts the wine and appetizer reception that greets your wedding guests as they wait for you to finish formal photographs. Our servers pass through the revelers with beautiful appetizers and glasses filled with wine, while people chat and mingle with friends.

After an hour, we'll usher your guests inside the pavilion for dinner. The banquet menus we offer for the pavilion sample the best in Northwest seafood and meats, and Washington farm-fresh produce. Our Executive Chef has created wedding reception menus for more than a decade, and with his knowledge of the local market we'll develop a dinner that exceeds even the highest expectations. Also, we provide a fully stocked bar, complete with bottled beer, wine and liquor for cocktails.

After cake cutting and toasts, guests dance the night away, mingle at the tables, or stand around the great hearth fireplace in the courtyard, reminiscing old memories and laughing about new ones.
