CEREMONY
Roche Harbor offers some of the most beautiful landscapes in the San Juan Islands, featured in the 2004 Seattle Times’ Pacific Northwest Magazine for its vibrant gardens and grounds design.
Sunken Garden (up to 250 people)
One of the ceremony sites is centrally located in a sunken garden that’s filled with vibrant colors and perfumed scents. Ideal for intimate weddings or large gatherings, the garden shows its blooms from April through October.

Our Lady of Good Voyage (up to 100 people)
If you’ve dreamed of a traditional church ceremony we’ll open the doors to our historic chapel on the hillside overlooking the harbor. This unique Roche Harbor gem has stood majestically on the shoreline for more than a century, and is still used for regular services during the summer.
RECEPTION VENUES
For more than a hundred years Roche Harbor has hosted splendid soirees. We’ve borrowed a page or two from former owner John S. McMillin’s extravaganzas to inspire us when designing receptions and dinners. In McMillin’s footsteps, we’ve sought out his favorite spaces around the harbor for you to entertain your guests.

The Pavilion and Courtyard (40-150 people)
One hundred years ago the Pavilion served as the sought-after venue for McMillin’s closest friends to host their wedding receptions. These days we draw from the spirit of those historic celebrations for our guests’ receptions. The Pavilion and adjacent courtyard over look the boat-filled harbor and the islands beyond, blending indoor and outdoor environments to offer people good-feeling spaces at every turn.
After the ceremony your guests will stroll a few steps from the gardens or chapel to the courtyard, where we’ll tray-pass appetizers and pour wine for them while photographers click away and revelers mingle. In about an hour we’ll usher guests inside the Pavilion for an interactive and freshly prepared banquet dinner. After toasts and cake cutting friends can dance the night away or catch up on old times outside sitting beside the warmth of the Friendship Fireplace.

The Seaside Lawn (150-300 people)
If your gathering is a bit larger than most we’ve got just the place to celebrate in style. The grassy lawn next to shoreline offers some of the islands most beautiful sunset views, and provides a truly unique island wedding experience.

Madrona, Executive and Fireside Rooms (10-40 people)
Intimate weddings are a favorite of ours, because we have such wonderful venues to offer you. These two rooms are available in our restaurants that reside in John S. McMillin’s historic home, and feature menus right off of our locally inspired Dining Room menus.
