CURRENT UPDATE  March 26, 2020

To all Roche Harbor employees, guests and residents:

I’m sorry but, there’s not much need to sugar coat this, increasingly painful message:

Across the world, our nation, and now in our own community.  The COVID-19 virus is impacting the health of individuals, our communities and economy in manners not anticipated only weeks and days ago.

Your personal behaviors are essential to prevent rapid spreading of the virus.

Social distancing recommended just weeks ago, is now mandated by State and Local Health Officials.

Effective March 25, 2020 at midnight:

Washington State Governor Inslee issued an Executive Order 20-25, directing all residents immediately to heed current State public health directives to STAY HOME, except as needed to maintain continuity of operations of essential critical infrastructure sectors and additional sectors as the State Public Health Officer may designate as critical to protect health and well-being of all Washingtonians.

Additionally, San Juan County has an order to “Stay at Home” that corresponds to the State’s order.  This order clearly states:

Travel for purposes other than: 1) to conduct or participate in essential activities, 2) for employment in essential business services, or 3) as otherwise provided in the Governor’s proclamation 20-25 is prohibited and is punishable by law.

Consistent with the State’s and San Juan County’s “Stay at Home” orders.

CANCELLATION OF 2020 EASTER CELEBRATION – Sunday, April 12, 2020

Roche Harbor Easter Celebration has been an ongoing tradition since 1956. Given the changing and evolving impact of COVID-19 and the recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), it is with great regret that the annual Easter Egg Hunt and Celebration have been cancelled.

During these unprecedented times, Roche Harbor Resort continues to operate.  The Roche Harbor Market is maintaining operating hours from 8am-8pm. As an alternative for indoor dining, we have initiated takeout ordering for both McMIllin’s and Lime Kiln Café.

The safety and wellbeing of the community and our employee are our top priority.

Thank you for your support and loyalty to Roche Harbor Resort
