Roche Harbor Events is pleased to offer 4 appetizer menus: North Peapod, Decatur, Justice and Blakely Islands menus. All these menus are priced as an accompaniment to any of our reception menus and cannot be purchased a la carte. Each guest will receive 2-3 tray passed appetizers per each selection and will be served during the cocktail hour by our professional staff. All our appetizer menus include your choice of tray passed appetizers and an appetizer station served tableside in the courtyard (or any other area of your choice) with an attendant. The Justice and Blakely Island menus include choices of “Chef in Action” stations with a Chef preparing appetizers for all your guests.
When selecting a menu, we want to provide our guests with several options to choose from, which is why we have designed these menus to be progressive. When moving from the North Peapod menu to the Decatur menu, your choices double, as you can order for the North Peapod and Decatur Menus. Choosing to the Justice menu allows you to choose from the North Peapod, Decatur and Justice menus. The Fourth Tier allows you to choose from all our appetizer menus and from all our Display Table and Chef in Action station menus.
With all these choices, selecting your appetizers can be daunting task as some to-be-wed couples may try to select items for individual guests with allergies or healthy lifestyle choices. Remember, this is your Big Night, and my advice is to order the items that get you excited and make your mouth water. Our events team is very knowledgeable and experienced at making quick substitutions to satisfy all your guests.

Roasted butternut squash and ricotta cheese filled into delicate pasta sheets then given a quick fry until crisp golden brown. Served with fire-roasted tomatillo salsa and garnished with crema and fresh cilantro.

Local Mushroom Bruschetta with Black Truffle Oil VG
Gourmet mushrooms grown in small batches on nearby Guemes Island. Dog Island Mushroom Farm grows several varieties of mushrooms including Blue Oyster and Shiitake mushrooms and delivered directly to Roche Harbor. Each mushroom is hand sliced and tossed with olive oil, fresh rosemary, and garlic then oven roasted to bring out their earthy umami flavor and aroma. Served on a garlic olive oil crostini and garnished with toasted pine nuts, goat cheese and black truffle oil.

Fresh King salmon cured in-house with brown sugar, kosher salt, soy sauce and a few secret ingredients then slow smoked in our Cherrywood smoker. Tender hand flaked smoked salmon is tossed with fresh lemon, Italian parsley, sea salt, cracked black pepper and virgin olive oil then served on a garlic-olive oil crostini and garnished with fresh lemon-artichoke pesto, chive spears, crème fraiche and salmon roe caviar.
