Scheduled Flights

Travelers looking to fly to Roche Harbor by seaplane have several scheduled flight options from the Seattle/Tacoma area:

Kenmore Air: Offers many daily seaplane flights direct to Roche Harbor from multiple locations in the greater Puget Sound area including Lake Union in Seattle and Ruston Way in Tacoma from March to October. These 45-minute flights provide scenic views and convenient access to the San Juan Islands as you skip the traffic and ferries.

Friday Harbor Seaplanes: Operates multiple daily scheduled flights between South Lake Washington (Renton) and Roche Harbor from May through early October. The flights last approximately 50 minutes and have the option to include an additional shuttle service to and from Sea-Tac Airport.

Charter Flights

Kenmore Air: In addition to their scheduled services, Kenmore Air offers private seaplane charters from Seattle’s Lake Union or Lake Washington directly to Roche Harbor for up to 9 passengers. These charters provide flexibility in scheduling and a personalized travel experience.

Friday Harbor Seaplanes: Based on South Lake Washington, Friday Harbor Seaplanes provides private charter services to Roche Harbor and other destinations in the San Juan Islands. They cater to various group sizes and offer personalized flight experiences.

Seattle Seaplanes: Seattle Seaplanes operates charter flights to and from Roche Harbor, departing primarily from their terminal in South Lake Union, but also offering service at other locations in the greater Seattle area for groups of up to 5 passengers.

Private Flights into Roche Harbor Marina

Our marina seaplane base (W39) does not have a space for private pilots to tie up, as the dock is intended to facilitate arrivals and departures, however private sea plane pilots are welcome to perform drop-offs and pick-ups of passengers at the same dock as long as they do not interfere with traffic from flights of sea plane airline service operators.
