Ceremony & Reception Venues

Sunken Garden ~ 50 to 300 guests

Centrally located in a lush flower garden that’s filled with vibrant colors and perfumed scents, it’s ideal for intimate weddings or large gatherings. The garden shows its blooms from April through October, peaking with colors in May and June, so there’s not much more to do to make this the perfect outdoor ceremony site in the San Juans. (50-300 guests)

Chapel ~ 50 to 150 guests

If you’ve dreamed of a traditional church ceremony, we’ll open the doors to our historic Our Lady of Good Voyage chapel on the hillside overlooking the harbor. This unique Roche Harbor gem has stood majestically on the shoreline for more than a century, and is still used for regular services during the summer.

Pavilion and Courtyard ~ 50 to 250 guests

One hundred years ago the Pavilion served as the sought-after venue for our founder John McMillin’s closest friends to host their wedding receptions. These days we draw from the spirit of those historic celebrations for our guests’ receptions. The indoor Pavilion and adjacent outdoor Courtyard overlook the harbor and the islands beyond, to offering people good-feeling spaces at every turn. Remarkable eight-foot fireplaces set a sensational backdrop for your memories.

Seaside Lawn ~ 251+ guests

If your gathering is a bit larger we’ve got just the place to celebrate in style. This grassy lawn next to shoreline offers some of the island’s most beautiful sunset views, and provides a truly unique, island wedding experience. Directly on the water and large enough to include the cocktail hour, dinner and dancing, the seaside lawn is host to some of our most spectacular events. (251+ guests, July & August availability only & additional fees and rentals apply)

While we’re fortunate to have stunning scenery throughout the grounds, you’ll find our culinary arts on the tip of everyone’s tongue during the wedding reception.

Our culinary team selects choice, local ingredients for our menus, because we know that’s what our clients and their guests crave. Whether it’s seafood from the Salish Sea, beef from Eastern Washington, or produce from the Skagit Valley, we search out the best of what’s around.

Creating recipes to highlight our strong sense of place in the San Juans is essential to the cuisine we prepare for your reception. Our menus focus on seafood and shellfish, while offering robust accompaniments of Washington beef and chicken, hearty vegetables and seasonal salads.

Roche Harbor Weddings carry on our general approach of “dining as entertainment,” so attendees will be treated to a visible culinary team preparing and serving food directly in front of them. The smells and sounds of fresh steelhead on the griddle is something guests will talk about throughout the evening.
